yeah guys i love my 7mgt 4 runner to bits no im just ironing out the little bugs like for instance after i accelerate then back off it crackles fairly loudly is that just the timing?if so is there a way to set your timing without useing a timing light?i just hate useing the local mechanics as they charge$60.00 per hour and they are dumb as dog shit.

if it crackles when you back off, that seems more like exhaust, but I guess it could be timing too. Go buy your own timing light. You can get one for about $20. It is the only way you can set it. Make sure you get one with an inductive pickup coil. THe other kind suck(don't even know if they make the crappy kind anymore)

Make sure you jump the terminals on the diagnostic block like the TSRM says to when you adjust it:

thanks mike,will do its probably cheaper to buy my own timeing light than paying mechanics $60.0-$70.0 an hour.
