I think that instead of running dual t-cases I'm gonna run dual W-56 trannys and a single case(maybe 4.0's in it) I'm gonna rebuild them with Marlin's HD rebuild kit http://www.marlincrawler.com/w56-d_trans.html My 2nd tranny shifter would come out near the seatbelt buckle, I can make linkage to shift the tranny from the location of the factory t-case hole and then twin stick my t-case with linkage.

First gear is 3.95:1 X 3.95 X 4.0 X 4.56(I have D60 front and a D70w/ detroit in the rear Very Happy I would be over 280:1 crawling!

Good luck!!!!

I really don't think Dual trannys is a good idea behind a 4 cylinder, let alone a 7M......

I've already thought about that. But as long as I be easy It might be survive. If it doesn't, I'll send the guts to Bobby Long and have them cryo'd.

Whats the point of having a 200+HP 7M if you have to "go easy on it"..... Might as well just stayes with the previous motor IMO.

Seriously, I'm concerned about running (1) W56 and keeping it alive with my dual ultimate cases, detroits front and rear with 5.29 gears, 36" IROKS. BTW I'm not that worried about axles since I'm already running Cyro gears, 27 spline PIGs w/ Chromo Longs, 5 stud knuckles, ARP hub studs, and 6 pin install on the the hubs.

Also the dual trannies is not even trail tested yet over the long haul.

I know where there is one that has been in for a while Very Happy

What about an auto in front then into a manual? Converter would allow for some slippage. My only ? would be how to shift the manual into gear. On the road it wouldn't have to be change. I guess off road I could just put the auto into neutral and put the manual into gear then shift the auto back into 1,2,3 or D

I've already done that. Time for something different.

If you take it easy on that straight 6, you will be applying less force to the dual tcase because the stronger engine produces more raw low end power
