Got her runnin last week, I've put around 100 miles on it so far and its awsome. Still have a few bugs to work out, but I'll get them fixed. It is a blast to drive. I've never owned a vehicle with this much power.Cannot wait to feed her some more boost once the moter breaks in. I'll try and get a video and some more pics up soon. Thanks to Rob and everyone else on this site for there help and guidance thru this swap. I wouldn't have even attempted this if I had not found this site.

your install looks alot cleaner than mine, i've still got alot i need to tie up

i'm replacing my rear main seal and cam pulley seals hopefully within the next week. After that if the oil has quit leaking i might consider it. Hell, even if it doesnt i just have to throw a quart or two of oil in the back seat and go. I'll let you know, it would be alot of fun to come up and compare installs in person

yeh, my sway bar rod end broke and my u-joints developed a rattle. What kind, how much and where can i get u-joints that will hold up to the power?Tryin not to spend to much money.
The pipes are aluminized steel ford 3" mandrel bent tail pipes with 5 bends($50 a piece). I used 1 for my intake and 1 for my exhaust. With another piece of straight pipe to fill in($12).Dynomax muffler and a pipe for my cat till i take it to emmissions. Sounds awsome

That is very nice looking I must say. One of the nicesest.

You say that is 3" for your intake?

You running stock injectors?

Any kill stories yet?

Oh, stock ujoints are actually pretty strong. I think they were probably just bad. Go get some new good quaility joints. As for your CV...I have never broken a toyota CV... I can't say that for saginaw.

Thanks, I was just thinkin i wanna put this motor in once, so after about 6 cans of high temp paint and alot off f-in scrubin with a tooth brush i got her shinin. The motor was a mess when i got it, but i still got it to run with a blown head gasket and alot of other stuff leakin.
Yes that is a 3" ford tail pipe i chopped and pieced to a 2-1/2" to the innercooler. The lower intercoller pipe was the hardest going 2" from the turbo, up to 3" and back down to 2-1/2.I tied the motor down on the drivers side with a 5/8" piece of alltread with urithane bushings and still alows it to move a little. Didn't have enough rubber on the connecter at the innercooler, so it flexes a little but not enough. I was runnin it today, took it up to 4800 rpm's(breakin her in right) and the pipe poped off. Scared the crap outta me when it backfired and wouldn't start. Luckly i had a screwdriver and got it back on.I'm gunna double clamp that and see if it works.
I'm running stock injectos and have about 250 miles on my breakin.
No, kill stories yet, but it definately turns some head. I'm lovin it
I spent some money on a set off spicer u-joints. Put them in on thursday.

Still runnin strong, I've put 1600 miles on her so far. Boosted 12psi at around 5300 rpm and let off, thought i was heading for fuel cut off.I thought i would need to shim the wastegate to get higher then stock boost, but i guess not. Still kinda takin it easy, affraid the tranny won't hold up. Did a ruff quarter mile with my friend looking as his watch and got around a 16 sec at 75mph. I took it easy on the shifting with no tire spin at all. The RPS 6 puck street clutch broke in nicely. Got most all my guages working and lighted except the oil pressure. Put a new blow-off valve on, mine was cherpin. Now the power steer pump is singin, so she's down till i get a new one.

Don't need a pump now, was taking the old one out and realized i had a nice fold in my line. To bad i already drained the fluid and had it ready to come out, oh well.
I hit fuel cut off, wasn't paying attention to the boost so i don't know what i was at, but i'm guessing it was around 13-14.RPM's were maybe around 5000-5500. You think this is because i have a 3" intake?I did have the pedal to the floor.

I depends on how much air you take in. Not really boost or Throttle position, but of course, that plays the roll in how much air you take in.

If you were to have an AFC, you could watch to see how much air is coming in and you can see where your cut-off is.

AFC, is that an Air Flow Controller. So I'm getting to much air? Is this what i would need to adjust the air flow down. I wanna be able to step on it with out the fear of it hitting fuel cut off. Kinda embarasing when your running against someone and it blows. Took me like 20-30 seconds to get it started again with my swampers screamin at 65 mph, couldn't hear a thing, LOL.Is the AFC expensive or can i just put some restriction in my intake pipe to lessen the amount of air going in. That would suck.

You don't want to do anything to restrict the air. You can modify the amount of air that the computer sees so you can run higher boost without fuel cut, but you need to be careful, because by doing so, you will be leaning out the amount of fuel too. This is where the Lexus uprade really helps. This allows you to run more air and by adding larger injectors, it balances out. THen you can run 16 psi and get loads more power.
