OK, here's some random thoughts. Can a late model (96+) R151 with 7.5" (190mm) input shaft be used with an R154 bellhousing and a turbo clutch behind a 7MGTE? This would require a JDM R151 from a 96+ Hilux or LC w/centered rear output.

Also, if the thick chevy camaro flywheel was used behind a 7MGTE with a 7MGTE clutch and (maybe) an AA pilot bearing, would this allow the use of an early 6.5" (160mm) input R151 with an R154 bell and turbo clutch?

Just a couple of thoughts. Maybe SuperRunner knows.

I have heard of a few people using a later model R150F, but do they make late model R151's? Not sure what you mean by the JDM R151...unless that is what you mean by late model.

I have never heard of using a caro flywheel. Give it a try and find out. Smile

Yes, apparently the R151 was still available post-96 in JDM and other market LC 80-series and maybe some Hiluxes. It had a longer input shaft, 190mm. I do not know the gear ratios but can find out.

As far as fitting the chevy flywheel to the 7MGTE, I don't have a 7M to fiddle with right now.

More info please. What year and model of the source vehicles? Was the front output shaft LH or RH side?

Sorry, it was an H150F that I was writing about. My understanding is that it comes in several T-case configurations, offet and centered. I don't know what bells it accepts beyond 1ZFZEs.

Sorry
